  • Guidance from a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 Years of Experience

Adoption is a deeply meaningful journey—one that brings hope, joy, and, at times, complex emotional and practical decisions. As an adoptee myself, and with over 25 years of experience in the adoption field and a Post Masters Certificate in Adoption Counseling, I provide compassionate, knowledgeable consultation to individuals and families navigating every stage of the adoption process.

As an adoptee myself, I understand both the clinical and relational dynamics that shape adoption experiences across the lifespan in a unique way.

    Consultation Services Include:

    • Pre-Adoption Consultation
Clarifying expectations, exploring motivations, understanding openness, and preparing emotionally for the adoption journey.

    • Home Study Preparation Support
Guidance to help families feel informed, confident, and prepared throughout the home study process.

    • Open Adoption Planning & Communication
Navigating contact agreements, boundaries, and healthy relationship-building with birth families.

    • Birth Parent Consultation
Non-judgmental support in exploring options, processing emotions, and making informed decisions.

    • Post-Adoption Adjustment & Parenting Support
Addressing attachment, identity development, trauma-informed and special needs parenting, and family transitions.

    • Adoptee Consultation (Children, Teens & Adults)
Support around identity, race and heritage, search and reunion, life transitions, and complex emotions related to adoption.

Adoption is not a single event—it is a lifelong experience. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in empathy and respect for each person’s unique story. Whether you are just beginning to consider adoption or seeking guidance years after placement, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore your questions and concerns.

You don’t have to navigate adoption alone. Professional consultation can provide clarity, reassurance, and thoughtful guidance at every step.

  • Transracial adoption brings distinct issues of identity, belonging, visibility, and loss. When family race and culture differ, questions arise about heritage, loyalty, cultural connection, and self-definition.

I work with adoptees, adoptive parents, and families on these complexities.

For adoptees, therapy supports exploration of:

    • Racial and cultural identity

    • Marginalization or racial stress

    • Grief, ambiguity, or divided belonging

    • Attachment wounds and relational challenges

    • Weaving multiple cultural narratives into a cohesive self

For adoptive parents, I help with:

    • Raising children with racial awareness and cultural humility

    • Talking about adoption and race

    • Recognizing identity development across life stages

    • Responding to racism or bias

    • Strengthening family communication and connection

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and attentive to systemic and historical forces shaping adoption. Therapy holds complexity with compassion, honoring both love and loss.

  • Living across cultures can be enriching — and disorienting. Expats, globally mobile professionals, and third culture individuals often navigate profound transitions that impact identity, relationships, and sense of home.

    You may be experiencing:

    • Cultural displacement or isolation

    • Identity shifts after relocation

    • Grief around leaving communities behind

    • Challenges with repatriation

    • Questions like “Where do I belong?” or “What is home?”

    • Strain in partnerships or family systems due to mobility

I specialize in working with individuals who live between cultures. Together, we explore how cross-cultural experiences shape your sense of self, relationships, and emotional well-being. Therapy offers space to process transition, build resilience, and create continuity within yourself — even when external environments change.

My approach is culturally responsive and reflective, acknowledging the broader social and political forces that impact migration, race, and belonging. Whether you are adjusting to a new country or integrating years of global movement into your identity, our work centers on helping you feel grounded and connected — wherever you are in the world.

  • Grief touches every part of our lives. Whether you are mourning the death of a loved one, facing anticipatory grief, coping with miscarriage or pregnancy loss, navigating divorce, living with chronic illness, or experiencing another significant life transition, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming and isolating.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with certification in Thanatology—the study of death, dying, and bereavement—I provide specialized, compassionate support for individuals navigating grief in all its forms. My advanced training allows me to address not only the emotional impact of loss, but also its psychological, relational, and spiritual dimensions.

Grief is not something to “get over.” It is a deeply personal process that unfolds in its own time. In our work together, you will have a safe, nonjudgmental space to express your feelings, process complex emotions, and make meaning of your experience. Whether your grief feels fresh and raw or long-carried and unresolved, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Together, we focus on honoring your loss while also supporting your resilience, connection, and capacity to move forward in a way that feels authentic.

You do not have to carry grief alone. Support is available when you are ready.

  • I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) offering clinical supervision for pre-licensure social workers seeking supportive, structured, and growth-oriented guidance as they work toward licensure. My supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in both clinical excellence and ethical practice.

I provide a safe and affirming space where supervisees can deepen their clinical skills, strengthen diagnostic and treatment planning abilities, and build confidence in their professional identity. Supervision includes case consultation, exploration of countertransference and use of self, development of theoretical orientation, risk assessment, documentation review, and preparation for licensure exams.

I am committed to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practice. I encourage critical thinking, self-awareness, and ongoing professional development while ensuring adherence to state regulations and ethical standards.

Whether you are working in community mental health, private practice, medical settings, or school-based environments, I tailor supervision to your clinical setting and professional goals. My aim is to support you in becoming a competent, confident, and ethically grounded clinician.

Whether you're navigating adoption, processing grief and loss, or exploring your cultural identity, I’m here to support you with warmth, expertise, and a person-centered approach to therapy. Life is complex, and so are the emotions that come with it. My role is to walk with you through these challenges, providing a safe space where your experiences are heard and honored.

Together, we will explore the unique aspects of your life story and work towards healing and growth. You are the expert of your own life, and I believe in a therapeutic process that centers around you—your needs, your values, and your vision for the future.
